The lamp proofing stage is to make a sample of the finalized design scheme. This stage involves drawing the CAD size drawing of the lamp, understanding the characteristics of the lamp materials and the purchase of accessories, understanding the processing technology of the lamp, the principle of Electric light and the production process of the lamp.
Sample Analysis of the Design of the "Airborne" Crystal Chandelier
1. Generation of early concepts
The initial concept of lighting design originated from a parachute, which is a deployable pneumatic reducer that utilizes air resistance and relies on relative air motion to inflate and deploy, enabling people or objects to safely land from the air to the ground. It is mainly made of flexible fabric.
Seeing a parachute reminds people of the beautiful scenery blooming in the wind under the blue sky.
So during the brainstorming process of sketch creativity, the designer incorporated the concept of parachute into the design of chandeliers, extracted the state of the parachute opening in the air, and processed the design elements. Using two different sizes of parachute shaped lampshades, the array is replicated through the rotation of the large lampshade, and the length of the small lampshade is arranged in a staggered manner to create a visual effect of the parachute slowly descending in the air.
The conceptual creativity of sketches is the most important part of the lighting design process. From the vague concepts in the early stage to the innovaitve sketches presented on one-dimensional paper in the later stage, this period requires continuous discussion, overturning, adjustment, and modification of conceptual creativity.
Finally, draw a large number of innovative sketches and select a feasible innovative direction for innovative extension.
