Copper lamps are mainly made of copper accessories, equipped with power supplies and lampshades. Among them, the main structure is connected by copper fittings, so the production of copper fittings is more important in production. The following introduces the production process of copper accessories.
1. Complete design and construction drawings
To produce a copper lamp, complete design and construction drawings are required. Enterprises producing lighting fixtures should consider designing from the perspective of mass production. All accessories must be standardized, and design and construction drawings are the standards and basis for guiding enterprise production. After the product design drawings are confirmed, the production of the physical model can only be carried out.
There are various methods for making solid models: useful wood carving, useful clay carving, and also useful gypsum carving. Different materials have different advantages and disadvantages.
The characteristic of wood is that the floral decorations are delicate and stable without deformation, but it takes a long time to carve a model. The characteristic of oil mud is that it is easy to carve, but it will deform with increasing temperature. Yellowstone paste is easy to carve and has a fast speed. However, it is fragile and can collapse if not careful. So, currently, most lighting manufacturers use wooden molds to complete, which are easy to modify. But in pursuit of speed, there is also the use of Huangshi paste material.
To produce a lighting accessory, the first step is to have a three-dimensional and accurately defined flat sketch. When carving a mold, based on the diagram, the final result is to transform the flat view into a solid model.
2. Carving Model
Due to the constantly updated appearance and surface decoration of lighting products, it is necessary to develop a new lighting fixture. The required new accessories usually require a new mold, which must have a sample carved out of a solid model. The model samples must be based on the drawings and are basically completed by drawing gourds and ladles. The design drawings should have a clear structure, smooth lines, and strong three-dimensional sense, preferably a floor plan with lines and sketch relationships.
Method of making yellow stone paste mold: First, use powdered raw materials to dissolve in water into mud, dry and hard, and then use wood carving tools to carve. This material has moderate softness and hardness, making it a good method for rapid molding and is adopted by most lighting companies. Some circular bases, suction cups, and center pillars are turned with a lathe. The two halves of the central column formwork shall be even, and Vernier scale shall be used to measure the size while turning.
