What is the beam angle?

The beam angle of a lamp is the angle at which the light is distributed or emitted. The light beam creates a surface where the light of a light source actually shines. A beam angle is created by a reflector. The smaller the angles in degree (D), the narrower the beam. This can be seen in the image below.
Beam angle is something that needs to be taken care of in selecting the appropriate LED lighting for space. This is the color temperature. The beam angle indicates the spread of light from the light source. Narrow beams provide centralized lighting and are suitable for accent lighting. Wide beams give a more general and softer light.

Most LED lights are available at optional beam angles.
The beam angle is expressed in degrees, indicated by the sign '°' or 'D'. Narrow beam angles, from a very narrow 15-degree spot to a wider 60-degree flood, make the light more intensive and intense. A wider beam angle better distributes light to more areas of the room. The right choice in the beam angle depends on the purpose you have with the light.

How to choose the beam angle of the LED Spotlight?
The light is directed to a specific object or person, and you need to choose a narrow beam angle, not an area.

Beam angle 10°
The small beam angle. Commonly used when you want to ‘highlight’ something, putting it right in the ‘spotlight’ like art.

Beam angle 24° - 40°
The medium beam angle gives you a wide light. This one is the most commonly used and most of the time placed in places like retail, restaurants, and houses.

Beam angle >60°
The wide beam angle. They have a very wide beam angle and are mostly used in places with large surfaces like warehouses and offices.
